The Amerex HIGH PERFORMANCE Stored Pressure Dry Chemical line is the result of over two years of development and extensive field testing in cooperation with several high hazard industrial end users. The goal was to provide extinguishers with superior fire knockdown, long range and extended, problem-free service in hostile environments. The achievement is the finest fire extinguishers available.

Higher pressure delivers more pounds per second at extended distances providing quicker fire killing power and greater protection for the operator. Most sizes and chemical options are available in a choice of FAST FLOW (shorter discharge time--more pounds per second) or COMPLIANCE FLOW (standard longer U / L discharge times--fewer pounds per second). This allows a choice to suit your particular hazards, fire fighting technique and degree of operator training. Special preparation and finishes include the Industry's first HOT DIPPED GALVANIZED CYLINDERS for the 13.2 (6Kg), 20 (9Kg) and 30 (13.6Kg) pound size hand portable extinguishers. Well proven in marine and caustic conditions, the galvanized cylinder provides the ultimate base for the Amerex polyurethane paint finish. All 250 pound Wheeled extinguisher steel parts have the multi-stage Amerex "Ultra" protection. Frames, wheels and cylinders are shot blasted to bare metal, phosphatized, zinc dust and gray epoxy primed then finished with two coats of red polyurethane paint. Valve parts and all fittings on hand portable and wheeled units are heavy duty chrome plated brass or stainless steel.
